Calvin was Stunio's second signature university partner in West Michigan, right behind Grand Valley, with Grand Rapids Community College and Baker College signed as well. Grand Rapids is the center of gravity for our fall launches, and Calvin students will benefit from every employer any school in the region brings on.
The three things we promised your team. Download the guides, click through the sandbox, and bring questions.
The full operating manual for your team. Part 1 covers how Stunio works for students, employers, and your office: your dashboard, employer management, reporting, and safety and compliance. Part 2 is the launch and communication toolkit: email and text templates, newsletter blurbs, website and flyer copy, talking points, ambassador materials, and launch event plans. Everything in Part 2 can be customized to Calvin's colors, logo, and voice.
The one-pager we promised on where the line sits between Stunio and your existing career platform. Short version: a job board is where a student pursues the traditional internship or full-time role. Stunio runs the real work that builds toward it: single shifts, multi-week projects, micro-internships, and event and seasonal work, with your office getting visibility into all of it. Complementary systems, not competitors. This is the doc to hand a colleague who asks "isn't this just another Handshake?"
Your employer relations team asked for a simple answer to the cost question. Here it is.
Employers start at $0. There's no cost to create an account, post opportunities, or get started. They pay only when work actually happens: a service fee of 5% to 35% on the student's pay rate, which covers everything Stunio runs, including matching, scheduling, verification, same-day student payment, compliance, and support. Employers on a custom subscription see reduced service fees, typically 5% to 20%. Students always receive the full posted rate, with no posting fees, no recruiting fees, and no payroll to run.
Optional features are simple monthly add-ons. Employers who want additional features, such as remote job postings, micro-internships, or flexibly scheduled jobs, add them as monthly options. Depending on what features an employer elects to utilize, these typically run between $10 and $150 per month. Our team handles all pricing conversations so your team doesn't have to.
Enterprise subscriptions are always an in-depth conversation. Larger organizations, like health systems and large corporations, have different needs entirely (integrations, compliance, dedicated service, subscription plans that can include a reduced service fee) and work with us directly on the right setup. Either way, the ask for your team is the same: send them our way and we handle the conversation.
Pricing details are being finalized and will be posted here. Until then, send employers with cost questions directly to us and we'll handle it. Universities and students never pay anything. That doesn't change.
Courtney asked for Stunio's missed-shift and cancellation standards in writing, so the office knows exactly what students are held to when they carry the Calvin name to an employer. We're finalizing that document now and will add it here.
Six things your team raised on July 15, and where each one stands with us.
Great catch. We've logged it: surfacing transit info on job postings so a student without a car knows an opportunity is reachable. Our onboarding already asks whether students drive, bike, or walk, and matches accordingly. This would take it further.
After-school programs, subbing, and short-term film and event crew work all fit Stunio's model naturally: short engagements, fast onboarding, real experience. As your team digests everything, send us the industries and programs you want us to go after with you. That input directly shapes who we recruit to post for Calvin students.
Your team's instinct to push this toward freshmen who arrive with yard-work resumes is exactly how we see it: try several industries early, then walk into coaching conversations with real experiences to talk about. And Maria's own story is the senior case: pre-med until senior year, used Stunio-style exploration to change direction. Both belong in the campus messaging, and we'll build the launch plan around them.
Campus roles can be a first, forgiving work experience with supervisors who understand students. Departments beyond the Career Center can be added to the Calvin account whenever you're ready. We'd treat this as a phase two conversation.
You always control which employers can post to Calvin students. Send us your list of organizations Calvin can't promote and we'll block them from the Calvin view entirely. Employers approved by other schools never reach your students without your approval.
We have workplace-readiness resources students see today (professionalism, safety, what a 1099 engagement means for taxes). You can add Calvin's own content, and we can make any of it required before a student can accept work. If your student-employment training belongs in there, we'll wire it in.
No hard dates except where stated. We set the pace together.
Bring questions. Nothing here is finished until it works for your office.
We're standing up the regional work group with Grand Valley, GRCC, and the other area colleges: shared learnings, employer coordination, one region moving together. Dates coming to you shortly, and your whole team is welcome at whatever cadence works.
Individual accounts for each team member, with your real dashboard and data.
Marketing, student messaging, and setting the go-live date. Maria will reach out on customizing materials to Calvin's brand.
Like we're doing with Grand Valley: background check and credentialing vendors on campus for a day so students walk out certified and ready for healthcare and other credentialed work before the first postings go live.
We set the date together. No pressure to have every employer or every student on day one. We take this at the pace that works.
When you're ready. None of this is homework with a deadline.
Just point them at us. That's the whole ask. Your team never manages employer relationships on Stunio. That's our job.
